3 Fun Ways to Celebrate Labor Day in Jax

A day off work to eat lots of grilled meat and take advantage of the last bit of summer?! Count us in. When you live near the beach, there are countless ways to celebrate this relaxing holiday. From digging your feet in the sand at the beach to kicking back at a baseball game, Jacksonville is full of fun things to do this Labor Day weekend. Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to stop by North Beach Fish Camp for some much-needed cocktails and delicious seafood!

The beer is cheap, the tickets are easy to come by and the fireworks will be going off! There’s no reason not to head to the ballpark for a baseball game between August 31 and September 4. When tickets start at $9 each, the entire family can join (and maybe even eat a few hot dogs, too!)

Let your 90s-self let loose for Labor Day with this fun throwback concert at the new Daily’s Place Amphitheater. Rain or shine, the show will absolutely go on. This new downtown Jacksonville venue features 5,500 covered seats perfect for drinking a few beers and dancing to some great music.

Bike the Beaches


The sun will certainly be shining in the beginning of September and the temperature will still be hot, hot, hot! There’s no better way to take advantage of the great weather than with a bike ride up and down the beach. Ride around Jax Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach to fully take advantage of the Labor Day weekend celebrations. After taking a quick dip in the ocean to cool off, grab some lunch at North Beach Fish Camp. Lock your bike up, throw on some flip flops and try one of these yummy entrees:
