Paleo-Friendly Menu Items to Try on Your Next Visit

Our guests have become increasingly health-conscious in recent years, and we’ve curated many menu items with these diners in mind. Thankfully, we didn’t have to change much. Nearly all seafood is considered to be a lean protein that complies with many diets. The paleo diet has grown like crazy, and we’re here to help you figure out what you can eat while you’re dining seaside. Diets definitely get in the way of dining out at many restaurants, but not at North Beach Fish Camp! We have plenty of menu options for paleo dieters. Plan your meal ahead of time with a few of our best paleo-friendly menu items:

Oysters

This is one of our favorite starters because you can order your oysters according to your personal taste. This appetizer has zero carbs but packs all of the flavor. To keep it simple and paleo-friendly, spritz some lemon juice on a raw oyster or maybe a dash of hot sauce. The options are endless and the world is your oyster… get it?

Peel & Eat Shrimp

If you’re willing to put a little manual labor into your dining experience, peel & eats are the choice for you. Shrimp is a speciality here in Jacksonville, and we take it very seriously. Shrimp are not only incredible to eat, but they’re also seriously good for you. No carbs, low calories, tastes amazing…does it get any better than that? You can order ‘em either spicy or regular, but you can’t go wrong either way.

Roasted Beet Salad

This starter makes our hearts skip a beet, pun intended. Mainly because beets have so many health benefits! Beets boast an impressive nutrient profile, such as promoting brain function and health, fighting cancer from developing and keeping blood pressure in check. Not to mention, the beets in our salad are seriously delicious. Roasted to perfection and serve with fresh mixed greens, this starter will keep you healthy and satisfied.

Seared Yellow Fin Tuna

Served on top of a toasted sesame salad, this main dish is paleo friendly and incredibly delicious. Tuna is nutrient-dense and boasts extensive health benefits for your heart, immune system and bones. Add some toasted sesame seeds and mixed greens and you’ve got a delicious superfood meal.

Broiled Seafood Platter

Cod, shrimp and scallops…it doesn’t get much better than enjoying this healthy and harmonious trio. Paleo can be strict, but having options like seafood platters makes it a whole lot easier. Get the freshest seafood in Jacksonville and pair it with a delicious lemon parsley butter (a little off the diet, but totally worth it!)

The Paleo diet has so many benefits, and we appreciate that. We hope you come in and try the abundance of paleo-friendly options to keep you on healthy and happy. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be bland, and our menu options above are proof!
