Jacksonville is rapidly growing and has become one of the most desirable places to live in Florida. There’s an abundance of cool activities for Jacksonvillians to explore, with new stuff popping up every week! Due to our unpredictable weather patterns, we have come up with some of the best activities for you to do in Jacksonville regardless of the forecast. Check out some ideas to include in your plans for this weekend!

Jax Ale Trail

This is an activity for adults that you don’t want to miss out on. As you can probably guess by the name, this is a tour of local breweries in Jacksonville! Hop in an Uber and travel around to fill up your ale trail passport. You can pick up a passport at any of the participating breweries. From Aardwolf to Wicked Barley with plenty of stops in between, the beer options seem endless. This is traveling at its finest, whether you live at the beach or in town. If you’re anything like the rest of us, you likely avoid “crossing the ditch” whenever possible. You’re in luck, because there’s no shortage of breweries in the Bold City of the South.

Museum of Science and History (MOSH)

Locals know this adult and kid-friendly museum as MOSH. Explore the ins-and-outs of science experiments and interesting historical findings. Our urge to discover and our sense of adventure can be unleashed inside this waterfront spot. On sunny days, guests are welcome to bring a blanket and a picnic basket to enjoy lunch by “Friendship Fountain” right next door to MOSH.

Sweet Pete’s

Indulge your sweet tooth with a candy-making course. Hey, they even have boozy classes! It’s a modern-day Willy Wonka in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. From a craft soda and candy pairing class to a hand-pulled lollipop class, Sweet Pete’s has all of the sugar you could dream of. Bring kids or make it a date night. You’re sure to leave with a smile on your face and a sugar-high.

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens

Stroll through the hallways full of classic art and reflect on the beauty of each piece. On a sunny, day, tour the outdoors and take in the breathtaking views of the gardens. The gardens highlight the 20th-century garden design across two and a half acres of land. The canopy over the gardens is the immaculate Cummer Oak that spans across 150 feet of land. It’s one of the oldest trees in Jacksonville and truly a sight for sore eyes.

Riverside Arts Market

Local art and crafts, food and live music… what more could you ask for? Saturdays are for relaxing and enjoying your hobbies. Come out and find something you love. There’s something for everyone, from coffee lovers to green thumbs, RAM has it all. The best part, RAM is held every Saturday in good weather and in bad!
