Vodka Cocktails to Sip on these Cool Jacksonville Nights

Nov 25, 2020 | Uncategorized

Thank goodness for this week’s pivot into chilly mornings and nights. While we Floridians love the heat, all of us reach a breaking point eventually. With the holidays on the horizon, all of us at North Beach Fish Camp are getting in the mood for a soiree. Whether that be an intimate dinner party or a fun night of cocktails, our team is here with a few boozy ideas to spice up your evening.

Spiced Cranberry Moscow Mule

We couldn’t love this twist on a classic Mule anymore if we tried. For that time of year when casual day drinking is perfectly acceptable, this Mule fits the bill.

Ingredients:

2 shots vodka

Juice of a lime

⅓ cup cranberry juice

Splash of spicy ginger beer (to warm you up!)

Cranberries and mint sprigs, for garnish

Shake the first three ingredients together with ice. Top with ginger beer and the garnishes. Serve chilled and drink responsibly.

Warming Winter Berry Sangria

This one sounds friendly, but it’s not for the faint of heart. Brace yourselves for the jalapeño heat that packs a punch.

Ingredients:

1 Oz. Vodka of Choice

1 Oz. Jalapeño-Infused Vodka (sold at local liquor stores)

¾ Oz. Simple Syrup

1 Oz. Lime Juice

A handful of blackberries and strawberries, lightly smashed

1 Jalapeño

In a cocktail shaker, muddle a few of the berries. Add the ice and all other ingredients. Shake and pour into a glass, then garnish with some berries and a jalapeño slice.

Snowy Vodka Smash

This vodka rendition of a classic bourbon smash takes holiday cocktails to a whole new level. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

2 Tbsp preserves of choice (ex. Blackberry, raspberry)

1 Tbsp triple sec

2 Tbsp vodka

3 Tbsp orange juice

Orange slices

Splash of club soda

Directions: Add 1/2 cup ice, preserves, bourbon, triple sec and OJ to a shaker and shake for 20 seconds. Pour into glass with a few ice cubes and add a splash of club soda and garnish with orange slices.
